また、それを原作とした日本のテレビアニメ。
小学館発行の少女漫画雑誌『ちゃお』に連載された。
ミュージカル化もされている。
等身大の思春期模様と主人公達の成長を優しいタッチで描き、男女問わず人気を博した。
1996年4月4日から1997年2月27日までテレビアニメ化もされました。
私はアニメを毎週観ていましたし、それから原作も購入し
「ちゃお」まで買うようになってしまいました。

この通り目が非常に大きいですが、原作の絵に比べても違和感もなく
本当に可愛いです！
発売元「G-PORT」で、企画・製造はタカラさんです。
発売は1996年12月頃でした。
『水色時代』をウィキペディアで調べていたら、19歳になった優子ちゃんを描いた
『水色時代を過ぎても』と言う短編が描かれていた事を知りました。
やぶうち優さんの作品には珍しく性描写が描かれたと言う事です。
単行本にも収録されたそうですが、掲載時の原稿に訂正されたそうだとか。
